About MeHello! My name is Merari Vélez Ramos, I am a Puerto Rican artist based in Florida. I graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration. My work is inspired by my family with my younger sister, Isa, being the protagonist in a good portion of my work. After years of trying different mediums I have found that my favorite to work with is mixed media on toned paper, with a focus on line work, pops of color and emotions. During my free time I like to play guitar, binge watch shows and learn new languages (Im currently learning Italian and Mandarin Chinese).
